About
MTV Max History, Coverage, Features
C More Max is a Finnish television channel owned and operated by MTV Oy. The channel was launched under the name MTV3+ on November 1, 2006, and it would keep that name until 2013, when it would be rebranded as MTV Max. That name would be used until 2017, when the channel became known as C More Max.
Over the years, C More Max has earned a reputation as an entertainment channel, with its main focus being a male audience due to the kind of shows it has aired. The channel has reported viewership numbers of over 500,000 people in Finland, which have made the channel one of the most popular in the country. Programming in this channel has included sports, movies, talk shows, reality shows, documentaries, and sitcoms.
Speaking about sports, C More Max has focused its coverage on motorsports and mixed martial arts events. The channel has occasionally aired ice hockey competitions, which have quite a following in the country. Added to that, C More Max has also been used as an overflow channel for football broadcasts, with league such as La Liga and the Portuguese Primeira Liga being included in the channel’s programming.
C More Max was launched as a Standard Definition feed, but a High-Definition version of this channel saw the light in March 2012. Both feeds are still available for users to watch on various pay-tv and IPTV service providers in the country.
