About
Dubai Sports Asia 1 History, Coverage, Features
Dubai Sports 3 is an Arabian television channel owned and operated by Dubai Media Incorporated. The first channel of the network was launched in 1998, but Dubai Sports 3 saw the light in 2005 as an overflow channel to its sister network to aid it in covering tournaments from all over the globe.
Over the years, Dubai Sports 3 has covered a large variety of disciplines, which have included football, tennis, triathlon, motorsports, volleyball, golf, and swimming competitions. Added to those, this channel has also earned the right to broadcast multi-sport events such as different editions of the Summer Olympics.
Speaking of football, Dubai Sports 3 has covered the UAE Pro League, the I-League, the J1 League, the German Bundesliga, and the KNVB Cup. When it comes to national team tournaments, Dubai Sports 3 has been able to add content related to the Arabian Gulf Cup, among other tournaments.
Dubai Sports 3 broadcasts its content in Standard Definition. Plans to add a High-Definition feed have been in the works for a long time, but since this is mostly used as an overflow channel, the parent company has decided to maintain the SD feed active until further notice.
