The channel was launched in 1995 as Prime Deportiva, but it was later rebranded to Fox Sports Americas in 1996. The company would drop the word “Americas” in the early 2000s to be known simply as Fox Sports. The words “Cono Norte” indicate that the signal may be watched in Latin American countries such as Mexico, Central America, the Dominican Republic, and certain regions of Venezuela. The headquarters for Fox Sports Cono Norte is located in Mexico City.
Over the years, Fox Sports Cono Norte has made a name for itself with its live coverage of sports events such as football, American football, baseball, motorsports, and wrestling events. The channel has also aired highlights and sports news broadcasts to expand its coverage, while sports debate shows have also earned high rating numbers in the channel’s history.
