Prima Sport 1 History, Coverage, Features
Prima Sport is a Romanian sports TV network. It is owned by Clever Group, which operates several other channels and digital platforms. It was originally launched as Look Sport in December 2011 and was initially run by Transilvania Media Group, before landing under the ownership of Clever Media in 2017. The network was rebranded from Look Sport to Prima Sport in April 2022.
Prima Sport has obtained broadcast rights to several domestic and continental sports competitions over the years. Football leagues and tournaments that have aired live on Prima Sport stations include Romania’s Liga 1, the French Ligue 1, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, and Spanish La Liga. It has also covered the UEFA Champions League, along with large events from other sports disciplines. Its sports programming has catered to fans of basketball, car racing, handball, and motorsport, with the majority of the broadcasts focusing on European competitions. Other televised content on Prima Sport consists of documentaries and talk shows.
