NDR Info Spezial is a German radio station owned and operated by the Norddeutscher Rundfunk. It was launched on April 1, 1989 as a medium-wave broadcaster, but it was shut down on January 13, 2015. Since then, NDR Info Spezial is only available as a digital radio station, covering news and general information related to the German regions of Lower Saxony, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, and Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.
NDR Info Spezial is frequently used as an overflow station for NDR Info. In the past, this digital radio station has offered content such as general news, weather reports, and parliament debates. On special occasions, NDR Info Spezial has covered sporting events that cannot be covered by NDR Info.
