O2 TV Football is a digital sports television channel owned and operated by O2 TV, a digital television company from the Czech Republic. The channel had a brief testing period of two days before its official launch, which took place on August 8, 2016.
As its name states, O2 TV Football has focused on airing live and repeat football games from some of the top European leagues. Additional coverage on this channel has included highlights shows, magazine shows for some of the top clubs in the world, talk shows, and sports information services. Most of the content aired on this channel has been made available in Czech language, although there might be some shows aired in English with Czech subtitles added.
O2 TV Football has aired content of domestic leagues such as the English Premier League and the Czech Fortuna Liga, while also adding cup tournaments such as the Copa del Rey, the Coppa Italia, and the Coupe de France. International club football has also been covered, with the UEFA Champions League being one of the tournaments included in the channel’s grid.
O2 TV Football was launched as a Standard Definition channel, but a High-Definition feed was also made available for users who have access to that sort of technology. Both feeds may still be available throughout the country.
