About

sportschau.de History, Coverage, Features

Sportschau is a German sports magazine show originally aired on ARD. It was broadcast for the first time in 1961, and it started showing results for the Bundesliga in 1963. The show has added more broadcasts to its original broadcast day and has also added more multimedia tools to its offering for fans to satisfy their need for sports results.

Over the years, Sportschau has added more sports content to its offering.  While the show’s main content has focused mostly in all Bundesliga games, there has been coverage of sports such as horse racing, handball, volleyball, and table tennis.

In 2011, Sportschau added a mobile app to keep fans informed of all sports activity while on-the-go. Although there is no live streaming of any of the Bundesliga games, the app has provided live coverage of all football activity in Germany with a live ticker. The app has also offered sports news and editorials.

Sportschau’s app is available for most mobile phones and tablets that work with Android or iOS, although users with older phones may not be able to use the app.
