UEFA Euro (2024)
SportyTV has secured exclusive free-to-air broadcasting rights for the UEFA Euro 2024 across sub-Saharan Africa. The agreement with CAA Eleven, UEFA's agency for national team competitions, allows SportyTV to air the Euro 2024's opening game, five group-stage matches, two Round of 16 matches, two quarter-finals, one semi-final, and the final in Berlin.

Sporty is directly broadcasting live Euro 2024 matches in Nigeria and Ghana while sublicensing media rights to other broadcasters in 25 English and Portuguese-speaking countries in sub-Saharan Africa where it does not have direct operations.

To complement its live Euro 2024 match broadcasts, SportyTV has prepared a daily studio show from Lagos, supplemented by on-ground reporting from Germany. Former professional footballer Michael Essien is expected to join as a pundit, providing expert analysis for various matches.
Copa AméricaStarTimes has obtained the English-language broadcasting rights for Copa America 2024 in Sub-Saharan Africa. Live matches are aired on StarTimes Sports Arena and available for live streaming on the StarTimes App across multiple devices.

Pro LeagueStarTimes has successfully renewed its African media rights to the Saudi Pro League (RSL) for two more seasons, from 2023/24 to 2024/25. This broadcast deal gives StarTimes exclusive rights to air live Saudi Pro League matches across its DTT, DTH, and OTT platforms in the sub-Saharan African region. Viewers may expect coverage of big RSL matches featuring Al Nassr, Al Ittihad, and Al Hilal.

Star Times Sports is a network of sports channels that broadcasts content in Sub-Saharan Africa. The network’s first attempt to broadcast sports came in 2012, when the company acquired broadcasting rights to air games for the Italian Serie A. The first Star Times channel saw the light on July 19, 2014.

Over the years, StarTimes Sports has covered some of the most popular disciplines in the world, including football, basketball, motorsport, rugby, aquatics, tennis, boxing, cricket, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, golf, mixed martial arts, wrestling, and more. The network has divided its coverage into specific channels over the years, which have included StarTimes Sports Arena, StarTimes Sports Focus, StarTimes Sports Life, StarTimes Sports Premium, StarTimes World Football, and StarTimes Sports 1, StarTimes Sports 2, and StarTimes Sports 3.

The StarTimes App was launched to cover most of the activity covered by the network’s terrestrial channels. Speaking about football, the app has covered games for the following leagues: the Bundesliga, the French Ligue 1, the Italian Serie A, the Chinese Super League, the Mexican Primera División, the FA Cup, the Coppa Italia, and the Spanish Copa del Rey. International club competitions have included the UEFA Europa League and the International Champions Cup. On top of that, national team games have also been streamed on this app, with tournaments such as the FIFA World Cup, the UEFA Nations League, and FIFA World Cup Qualifiers being covered on this mobile app as time has gone by.
