Orange Sport is a Romanian sports TV network on the platform of internet service provider Orange TV. It was first introduced as Boom Sport back in 2006, before closing in August 2010. However, it was relaunched as Dolce Sport at that time and it operated under that brand name for seven years, until 2017. It then became Telekom Sport, and subscribers were given access to premium sports channels, including Telekom Sport 1 and Telekom Sport 2. In 2021, a change in the shares of the network prompted yet another relaunch. In March 2022, new channels were presented to viewers, namely Orange Sport 1, Orange Sport 2, Orange Sport 3, and Orange Sport 4. These channels are available via cable, IPTV, and satellite in Romania.
Sports covered on Orange Sport over the years have consisted of a mix of European and American events. This includes major European football leagues, such as the UEFA Champions League, or domestic competitions from top nations like the German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, and Spanish La Liga. Romania’s top football division and cup tournaments have also been featured on the network. Orange Sport has additionally obtained broadcast rights to events from other disciplines such as basketball, handball, motorsport, rugby, and wrestling. On top of the live coverage, Orange Sport tends to provide its audience with informative shows and regular updates.
