This is part of a major deal struck with UEFA for Europe’s top club competitions covering the Nordic region. In Iceland, Viaplay may share coverage with local broadcaster Sýn. The agreement includes over 200 UEFA Champions League games annually, available to stream online via Viaplay’s direct-to-consumer OTT service and partnerships with major telco and TV operators in Nordic countries.
	UEFA Europa League (2024-2027) Viaplay Group holds exclusive UEFA Europa League rights from 2024/2025 to 2026/2027 in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The rights also extend to Iceland in non-exclusive terms, as Viaplay’s Europa League coverage is shared with local TV network Sýn. Live UEFA Europa League streaming on Viaplay is available across multiple devices via its apps and several TV partners’ platforms, amounting to hundreds of live matches yearly.

	England - Premier League (2022-2028) Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) has acquired multi-platform English Premier League rights in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, in a deal that runs from 2022 to 2028. Live EPL streaming will be available on Viaplay – the leading online video streaming service in the Nordic region. NENT Group’s package includes 35 matches from the Scottish second-tier division along with the Scottish League Cup, and coverage will be available on OTT service Viaplay in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
	Scotland - Scottish Premiership (2020-2025) Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) has extended its Nordic media rights for the Scottish Premiership in a five-year deal that will run through 2025. NENT Group’s OTT streaming service Viaplay will show 48 matches live from the Premiership every season in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.

V Sport Football is a Swedish television channel owned and operated by the Nordic Entertainment Group. The channel was launched on October 17, 2008 as Viasat Fotboll. The channel would be rebranded in 2020 to V Sport Football. V Sport Football is part of the V Sport network of sports channels.

Over the years, V Sport Football has been the main channel for the network when it comes to covering football. Additional to live games, the channel has also included highlights, pre and post-match coverage, league documentaries and other football-related shows. When there is more than one football game taking place, V Sport Football may see other channels stepping in as overflow options to cover all the leagues covered by the network. 

Some of the football leagues covered by the network over the years have included the Dutch Eredivisie, the French Ligue 1, the Danish First Division, the German Bundesliga, the English Premier League, and the Australian A-League. Cup tournaments such as the English League Cup and the English FA Cup have also found screen time on this channel. Furthermore, tournaments such as the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League have also been covered on this network for many years.

V Sport Football was launched as a Standard Definition channel, but a High-Definition feed that mirrors the content of the SD version was launched in 2009.
