VIX is a Spanish-language streaming service available in the USA and Mexico as well as territories in Latin America, offering a diverse range of Spanish-language news, entertainment, and sports content. VIX is owned by TelevisaUnivision Inc. and was launched in March 2022. Launched to cater to the growing Hispanic audience, VIX provides viewers with access to a vast library of movies, TV shows, and original programming, all in Spanish.Its catalog of content is extended through original content from its sister linear channels. Viewers can watch classic telenovelas, TV series and blockbuster movies, kids’ shows, newscasts, live soccer, and more. Competitions for which VIX has been awarded streaming rights since it was introduced include the FIFA World Cup and UEFA Champions League. In South America, VIX has offered live coverage of top soccer divisions. Live soccer broadcasts have been available on different terms with geo-restrictions. While some of the coverage has been exclusive to the platform with widespread access, some broadcasts have been limited to premium access.
In addition to VIX’s rich portfolio of content, users can also access original programming from the TelevisaUnivision networks, such as original series, novelas, and documentaries which cater to the Mexican and Hispanic expat community.
Programming aired on VIX is available on multiple platforms including the VIX app, web, mobile devices, and Smart TVs such as Roku and Amazon Fire TV. VIX offers a free basic plan which is ad-supported as well as two premium plans; an ad-free plan and a limited-ad plan which gives users access to all programming available on the platform.
