Most-watched soccer games in the USA: April 15-21, 2024
The numbers are in for the most-watched soccer games in the USA on April 15-21, 2024, with one competition dominating the top three. That tournament is the UEFA Champions League, which wrapped up the quarterfinal stage last week.
Top of this list was the nail-biting showdown between Real Madrid, the most successful club in the competition's history, and defending champions Manchester City. The two sides played out a 1-1 draw, with the tie entering extra time and eventually penalties before Los Blancos won on spot kicks.
Over one million average viewers — 1,107,000, to be precise — tuned in to CBS to catch the action live as Ancelotti's men dumped the Cityzens out of the competition to book a semifinal showdown with Bayern Munich.
Furthermore, an additional 712,000 average viewers caught this game on UniMas, with this broadcast nearly making the top three. Meanwhile, 219,000 opted for TUDN's coverage, meaning this tie earned an audience of over two million in the USA across several platforms.
And it did not stop there. In second was another UEFA Champions League game aired by CBS, this time PSG's dramatic win over Barcelona. A total of 932,000 average viewers tuned in to witness the Catalan giants throw away a 1-0 lead to lose 4-1 (4-6 on aggregate) following Ronald Araujo's first-half red card.
Wrapping up the top three is Pumas UNAM's showdown with Club America, which the Eagles lost 2-1. 812,00 average viewers caught this fixture on Univision as Club America saw their lead over nearest rivals Toluca vanish, with André Jardine's side sitting top of the table on goal difference.

Top games to watch on Matchday 11 in Major League Soccer
New England vs Inter Miami: Two teams experiencing vastly different seasons will go head to head when New England Revolution welcome Inter Miami on Saturday. The Revs currently sit bottom of the table in the Eastern Conference after a nightmare start to the 2024 MLS season and despite winning their first - and only so far - match of the season, come into this match on a two-game losing streak. By contrast, Inter Miami are on top of the table following a relatively solid start to the current campaign. The Herons have rebounded quite well following their CONCACAF Champions Cup disappointment and will come into this contest having won their last two MLS matches on the trot.
Cincinnati vs Colorado Rapids: Last season saw Cincinnati win their first major title as they clinched the Supporters' Shield. This time around, things have not gone as smoothly as fans would have liked - but there are still plenty of matches to be played. Cincinnati come into their upcoming showdown with Colorado Rapids having ended their three-match winless streak with a 2-1 result against Atlanta United. Meanwhile, the Rapids have hit a good patch of form lately, with three wins from their last four games helping them climb up to fourth spot in the Western Conference ahead of Saturday's game.

The champions fell to a 3-2 defeat against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday in a match that featured multiple controversial incidents, leaving their arch-rivals 11 points clear at the top of La Liga.

Without goal-line technology in Spain, officials used VAR to try and confirm if the ball had crossed the line but could not be certain it had and so play continued with the score level at 1-1. Read more…
