The Argentine Primera División will keep fans glued to their seats with a full matchday that will include thirteen games, which will be distributed between Friday and Monday. The first game of the weekend was played on Thursday, which ended in a goalless draw between Argentinos Juniors and Sarmiento.
Speaking of the two most popular teams in the league -and the most popular overseas-, Boca Juniors continue their struggle to reach the top half of the table, something they could accomplish this week if they can find a way to beat Independiente Rivadavia. Meanwhile, River Plate will also have a big match this weekend for several reasons, but we will discuss that later on.

Racing Club vs Gimnasia La Plata - La Academia continue their battle at the top of the table, and with the right combination of results, the team could end as league leaders. To do their job, the light blue and white side will need to beat Gimnasia this Friday, but the away side has dominated their last four games, with two wins and two draws recently. The good news for Racing come thanks to coach Gustavo Costas, who has won all three games in which he has faced Gimnasia. Will he add a fourth to that run?

River Plate vs Huracán - Los Millonarios will have a very special game this weekend for two reasons.
